2010 Land Tax Sale
We wish to thank everyone who participated in the 2010 Land Tax Sale. Approximately 35 people attended the sale, 24 of whom were registered participants. Our office works extremely hard to inform the rightful owners, heirs and any interested parties of the upcoming sale. It is our goal to do everything in our power to keep properties from going to the land tax sale. All twelve properties offered this year sold. The original owner and interested parties of those properties still have one year from the date of the sale to redeem the property and prevent the filing of a collector’s deed.
Cities of Waynesville and St. Robert
This summer, St. Robert and Waynesville both requested we collect their 2010 city tax amounts. This worked smoothly in the collection of Crocker city taxes, and we expect the same results for Waynesville and St. Robert. Therefore, city residents of Crocker, St. Robert, and Waynesville will have their city amount included in the 2010 Pulaski County Real Estate Tax Statement; there will not be a separate statement from those cities. Waynesville Personal Property amounts will be included on the 2010 county personal property statements as well. The city amounts will be calculated according to the same criteria but will be billed on the county statement and collected by our office instead of the city offices at no additional cost to the taxpayers. This not only saves mailing and personnel expenses, but also allows city residents to make one payment for both city and county taxes. We are collecting delinquent taxes for Crocker and Waynesville; Waynesville city residents having delinquent real and/or personal property tax amounts will have an insert with their county statements indicating past due amounts. Those amounts must be paid before the current 2010 amount can be paid.
Tax Payment Options
I would like to make sure you are aware of our payment options. Mailing a personal check for the exact amount on your statement (no rounding please) is a great option; we accept the postmarked date on the envelope if mailed by the last day of the month. Please include your driver’s license number, birth date and current phone number if it is not printed on your check. Other options include the web site, www.pulaskicollector.com, and toll free number, 877.847.5977. Both options provide for payment with a debit or credit card. There is a 2.75% convenience fee when using a card. Your payment will be receipted the day we receive the transaction report (the next business day) and mailed or emailed that day.
